Description
Description
Some holes cannot go under a drill press: a leg already glued into a table, a post set in the ground, an angled hole through a wide panel. The Portable Drill Guide, -60 to 60°, brings the press to the work. Your bit goes in the guide's own 1/2 in self-locking chuck, and your 3/8 or 1/2 in cordless drill turns it.
Positive stops sit at 90, 60, 45, 30, 15 and 0°, and on the other side at -15, -30, -45 and -60°. Two locking handles hold the setting so the angle does not creep as you press. A built-in depth stop sets how far the bit travels. It keeps a dowel hole from breaking out of the far face.
The base does more than sit flat. A V-groove centers a dowel or pipe under the bit, rubber pads keep the guide from walking on a smooth top, and mounting holes let you screw it to a bench for a run of holes. On a small part you can hold the guide with one hand and drill with the other.

Questions
Questions about the GOINGMAKE Portable Drill Guide, -60 to 60°
Can you drill a hole through the center of a dowel with the GOINGMAKE angle drill guide?
Yes. The V-groove in the base centers round stock under the bit. Set the angle stop to 90° for a straight cross hole and the depth stop for how far it goes.
Will your cordless drill work in the GOINGMAKE portable drill guide?
It takes 3/8 and 1/2 in cordless drills. The bit goes into the guide's own 1/2 in self-locking chuck, and your drill drives it from above.
A bit that catches spins the stock in your hand. Clamp the work, and collect the dust the bit throws.
