Hold it square, keep it sharp
Glue-ups go wrong at the corners. The corner clamps come as a pair and hold two boards at 90 or 45 degrees for boxes, drawers and frames. On a dog-hole bench, the bench dog clamp drops into a 3/4 in hole and holds stock up to 1-3/4 in thick under soft pads.
A sharp chisel cuts cleaner than a new jig. The honing guide clamps blades from 5/32 to 3 in and sets angles from 15 to 45 degrees, so each pass on the stone holds the same bevel.
Every bench tool on this shelf belongs to the GOINGMAKE range. Before you set up a bench tool, read Pocket holes, dowels and dog holes: drilling with a jig instead of by eye.
