Cabinet doors, face frames and carcass joints

A cabinet door hangs on a hinge whose 35 mm cup is bored into the back of the door. Our three hinge jigs clamp on, bore the cup square at an offset of 2 to 6 mm and pull the chips into a vacuum hose. The door mounting jig then holds the door at height on the face frame or the cabinet side while you drive the screws.

For the box itself, the pocket hole jig drills three 3/8 in holes at a time in stock from 1/2 to 1-3/4 in, and the dowel jig drills 1/4, 3/8 or 1/2 in holes on a line you mark across both parts.

Every cabinet jig on this shelf belongs to the GOINGMAKE catalog. Before you set up a cabinet jig, read Concealed cabinet hinges: boring the 35 mm cup, setting the offset, hanging the door.

Questions

Questions about GOINGMAKE cabinet and joinery jigs

Which GOINGMAKE hinge jig should you use for a whole kitchen?

The 3-axis hinge jig: it bores the 35 mm cup and has a separate fixed guide for the screw holes, so one setting carries through every door. It clamps doors from 1/2 to 1-1/4 in, more with its extra block.

Can you hang a cabinet door alone with the GOINGMAKE mounting jig?

That is its job. It clamps to framed or frameless cabinets, left or right hand, holds the door at height, and a removable edge pin positions full-overlay doors without measuring.

Do you need a router for the GOINGMAKE door hinge jig?

Yes. It is a router template for door hinge mortises from 2-1/2 to 5 in long, and the kit includes a router bit. Read boring cups and setting the offset for cabinet hinges.

Hinge cups are drilled and hinge mortises are routed: both go best with the work clamped and your eyes covered.
