Cabinet hinges and door hinges
A concealed cabinet hinge sits in a 35 mm cup bored into the back of the door, a set distance from its edge. The three cup jigs clamp to the door, hold the bit square and stop it at depth, and the offset setting places the cup from 2 to 6 mm in from the edge. The 3-axis jig adds a separate guide for the screw holes, so cup and screws are set once for a whole kitchen.
A house door takes a different hinge: a leaf set into a shallow mortise on the edge. The door hinge jig is a router template for leaves from 2-1/2 to 5 in long, with round and square corners, on doors up to 1-3/4 in thick.
These jigs come from cabinet and joinery jigs in the GOINGMAKE lineup.
Questions
Questions about the GOINGMAKE hinge jig
Do you get the 35 mm bit with GOINGMAKE hinge jigs?
The cup jigs bore with a 35 mm carbide-tipped bit, and a two-pack of replacement bits is sold for them.
Can you collect the dust when you bore hinge cups with a GOINGMAKE jig?
Yes. The full jig takes a 1-3/8 in hose, the 3-axis jig an adapter for 1-1/4 and 1-3/8 in hoses, and the compact jig a 35 mm dust adapter.
