Description
Description
Building an MFT-style bench top means drilling dozens of holes that must line up in rows. The Bench Dog Hole Drill Guide takes the layout off your tape. Its two extension rails set the first row from the edge of the top without any measuring, with spacing options of 64, 96, 128, 160, 192, 224 and 256 mm.
From the first holes on, the four position pins carry the grid forward. Drop a pin into a hole you have drilled, seat the guide against it, and the next hole lands on the same horizontal or vertical line. Once the grid is done, the top gives you square and 45° stops for crosscuts with dogs and fences.
Choose 3/4 in or 20 mm to match the dogs and clamps you own, since accessories made for one size do not fit the other. Our Bench Dog Clamp has a 3/4 in rod, so it pairs with the 3/4 in guide. The kit includes a hole bit in the size you pick, ready for the first row.

Questions
Questions about the GOINGMAKE Bench Dog Hole Drill Guide
Should you drill 20 mm or 3/4 in dog holes with the GOINGMAKE guide?
Match the dogs and clamps you already have, since the hole bit comes in the size you choose. Our Bench Dog Clamp uses a 3/4 in rod. See dog holes and drilling jigs.
Do you need to measure the first row with the GOINGMAKE dog hole guide?
No. The two extension rails register on the edge of the top and place the first holes at 64 to 256 mm spacing. The position pins then carry the grid across the bench.
A bit that catches spins the stock in your hand. Clamp the work, and collect the dust the bit throws.
