Description
Description
Marking a square line around the faces of a post, or across a length of pipe, needs a square that hooks over an edge. The Carpenter Square, 6 x 7.5 in, is a big aluminum square with 1/16 in laser scales. It draws angles from 0 to 90° on square lumber, round stock and three-dimensional parts.
Angles go fast with the pin. Set the fixed angle pin in one of the quick holes at 22.5, 30, 45, 60, 67.5 or 75° and draw along the blade, with no protractor to read. A row of scribe holes in 1/16 in increments takes a pencil tip for lines parallel to an edge.
Keep it on the bench for the 45 and 90° lines you mark before most cuts. Its size suits larger projects and bigger lumber, where a small square has to be moved twice to reach across a board. On a framing job, the pin holes give the common angles without a second tool in your pocket.
