Description
Description
Dining tabletops and wide shelf panels need support far past the blade, and no gauge in our range reaches farther than this one. The extruded aluminum fence runs from 21 in closed to 38 in open. Inch and mm scales cover its whole length, so a long crosscut starts from a number on the fence and not from a tape stretched across the saw.
Out on the extension, the count does not restart. Lock the flip stop at the 19 in mark of the main fence, then read your length off the 19 in scale printed on the extension bar. Fine moves on the stop come in 0.001 in steps. A magnifier on the pointer enlarges the lines you are setting to.
For miters, pull up the button and swing the protractor. The pin drops into one of 13 stop holes before you tighten the handle, at 90, 67.5, 60, 45, 30, 22.5, 15 and 0° either way. Four adjustable rings size the bar to a 3/8 x 3/4 in slot, and a pad on the back glides over the saw top.
